Transmitters shall be provided with following features - Sensor drift alarm for se nsor failure protection - Differential & average temperat ure measurement if required. - Automatic switch over to bac up sensor on primary sensor failure. - Accepts any combination of two ensor types (RTDs, TCs, mV or ohms) - Ambient temperature compensation - Fault detection for electronic & sensors with fail-safe alarm ing. 5. Transmitters to be used for RTD ensors shall be provided with RTD EMF correction features so that it sh all detect and eliminate EMF rrors, which are the result of small voltage, produc by RTD sensing elements. 6. The product and make shall be selected so that with one make of transmitter all application with respect to meas uring ranges of temperature sen sor (resistance thermometer / thermocouple) and connection type (2/3/4 wire con nection of resistance thermometer ) shall be covered. 7. Transmitters shall be capable communication wi th HART (Highw ay Addressable Remote Transducer) communicator. HART communicator shall be provided with transmitters for tuning / configuring / diagnosing / maintenance of the transmitters. It shall meet the intrinsic safety requiremen if required depending upon the application. 8.
