The need to work with Supply Chain Management increases in line with the risingcompetition, which raises demands for relative-ly short delivery times. At the same time, it isnow becoming more and more common forwind turbines to be sold as supply projects ofincreasing complexity as individual projectsare encompassing more and larger turbines. The initial phases of NEG Micons work with Supply Chain Management focus primarily onlogistics in relation to towers, blades andtransport in general. Positive effects have al-ready been observed in all these areas. The general simplification of the production organisation is supported by the ongoingstandardisation of the wind turbines.
