Worldwide alimentary self-sufciency and security are the main objectives that we are trying to reach to suppress hunger and malnutrition, to reduce alimentary losses/waste, and to protect human health. Unfavorable climatic conditions, such as veryhot and humid temperatures and the absence of continuous cold chain for protectionduring storage, transportation, and marketing of foods, contribute to the increase of alimen-tary losses.
