The public is upset there is not consistent set of communications that happens when the causeway is closed and then reopened. Lieutenant Gill explained that because it is County roadway, the Montgomery Police Department makes their notification to the County, then the County makes their notifications and they officially close the road. However, Montgomery cannot make temporary road closing without notifying the County and getting their authorization to close County road. Mayor Jaffer suggested having some conversations with the County. She mentioned the possibility of the County having list of all bridges on their website and listing if they are opened or closed so that people dont have to scroll through all Nixle notifications to figure out if they are up to date or not. 2.
