1.0 Completed piping systems shall be flushed by CONTRACTOR with fresh water, to clean the pipe of all dirt, debris, and foreign material. CONTRACTOR shall prepare procedure for flushing of the system for approval of COMPANY. lushing shall not be commenced without approval of flushing procedure. 1.1 CONTRACTOR shall perform all activities like dismantling and reinstalling of all strainers, in line instruments etc. before and after completion of flushing. 1.2 Flushing shall be considered as complete only after inspection and approval by COMPANY. 1.3 Disposal of muck and flushing media shall be arranged by CONTRACTOR as directed by COMPANY, in such manner that it does not spoil the adjacen installation. The hydrostatic test shall commence only after approval of procedure by COMPANY. 1.3 Piping system shall be hydrostatically tested to pressure corresponding to 1.4 times the design pressure. 1.4 Fresh water shall be used as test media.
