The most important units were constructeJin 1. In 1 the components were separately tested and workable sensorwas assembled. In 1 the integra tion of the laserfluorosensor into aeroplanesof the type Do 2 was tested as well as the operation of the system under flight conditions. Around the end of the research project (May state of development had been reached which allowed the sensor to be applied for measuring eration in an aeroplane. Some work remained to be done, which rather concerned the field ofindustrial finishin ltwas carried out on behalf of Dornier Aerospaceand was com leted in November 1 wit?positiveresults in flight demonstrating the achieved stage ?performance. By successful completion of the development project laser fluorosensor has been made available, which not only allows experimental plications as known so far, but has been de veloped according to industrial standards, has ogtained the licence required for airborne sen- sors and therefore allows long-term and continuous plication in the surveillance of marine pollutions. The instrument is now commercially availabk from Optimare, Wilhelmshaven, Ger- many.
